- Write Your Congressman - Let them know the desperate situation our
veterans are in. Tell them you want them to support Homes for Our Troops and
the brave men and women of our military who have given so much for our
country.
- Start a Kids for Our Troops chapter in your school
or your church - keep others informed about the needs of our severely
disabled veterans.
- Lunch Server - Bring your family and friends and prepare lunch or a
snack for the construction workers and others working hard to build a home for
a veteran.
Your contributions make a difference!
- Make a welcome basket for the homeowner family and
present it as a housewarming gift
- Hold a "Fill The Cupboard" drive to get the veteran and
his family off to a great start!
- Plant flowers or bring some potted plants for the new
home
